Purpose and Basis for Processing Personal Data
Embodied Emotions processes your personal data for the following purposes:
•    To issue invoices
•    To compile and maintain a record of your therapeutic journey
•    To inform you about changes to our services and products
•    To process personal data when legally required
•    To send newsletters

Automated Decision-Making
Embodied Emotions does not make decisions based on automated processing that could have (significant) consequences for individuals. This refers to decisions made by computer programs or systems without human intervention (e.g., by an employee of Embodied Emotions).

Data Retention Period
Newsletter data is not deleted automatically. You may request data deletion via mail@embodied-emotions.nl
The retention period for client records is 20 years.

Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties
Embodied Emotions has a duty of confidentiality and handles your records carefully and confidentially. Embodied Emotions only shares data with third parties when necessary to execute our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

Cookies or Similar Technologies We Use
Embodied Emotions uses anonymized analytical cookies.

Viewing, Modifying, or Deleting Data
You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you have given for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Embodied Emotions. You have the right to data portability, which means you can request to have your data sent in a computer file to you or another organization you designate.

You can submit a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer, or withdrawal of consent, or an objection to the processing of your personal data, by emailing mail@embodied-emotions.nl

To confirm your request, please include a copy of your ID with your request. Make sure to black out your photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of your passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
Embodied Emotions would also like to inform you that you have the right to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority, via the following link: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

How We Protect Personal Data
Embodied Emotions takes the protection of your data seriously and has appropriate measures in place to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. If you suspect your data is not adequately protected or there are indications of misuse, please contact mail@embodied-emotions.nl

Client Records
A brief client file is kept for each client, recording their personal information, appointments, and progress.
